Rick was a typical teen growing up in south Florida and he had always had a great love for music. One of his best memories was his mom & dad in the living room with grandma B on the piano singing hymn after hymn. It was a great time. During high school Rick was a member of the marching band, symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, stage band and the pep band. If they were playing music, he was there. Then came the garage bands. He was not only the bass player, he was also the geeky guy that hooked everything up and fixed it when it didn't quite work right. The name of their band was "The Original Artists". Can you see the marque?
The Bass Guitar in the picture is the same type as the one Rick played in high school. After college Rick took a little detour in life and joined the US Navy and spent the next 28 year's defending our country. Retiring as a Masterchief in 2007 he and Sherry, his wife of 20 years moved to northern California. They both volunteer several hours a week at the local Moose lodge as cooks and lodge coordinators. Rick auditioned for our original bad called LifeSigns at a live outdoor event, and afterward the band noted that they didn't think he missed a single note. Rick currently plays with Altar'd Hearts, Fishbait and is part of the worship team at St James Lutheran church in Redding.
Keyboardist, vocals in Altar'd Hearts since July 2017. As a child I was raised in the Church, learning Christian life and values, I played guitar and sang in high school worship team services. I found the Love of Theater and Music!

I had a spiritual reawakening in 1987 and brought my Family into God's Kingdom after my long absence. I led Worship and Praise music in Rohnert Park Ca at St. Elizabeth Seton from 1988 until 2000 when I moved to Trinity County. I have been involved leading or playing in Christian settings on and off ever since. I have played in many secular bands as well. Locally, "RiverRock" from Red Bluff, and most successfully, "Mojo Child: a tribute to the Doors" from Redding. God was already at work on me again, I left the secular music scene behind and began playing with Altar'd Hearts in 2017. I am still a Rocker though , now I Rock for Jesus! No turning back!
Lead guitarist for Altar'd Hearts since early 2022.
Roland plays on worship teams as well.
